The Poetry of Geri Rizzo
WISHING
Sometimes I wish I were a tree
My branches upraised resplendently,
My children the flowers that blossomed on me,
The fruit they become pulling gravitously.
I'd bask in the sunshine
Cry in the rain
And then when the snow came,
Brunt all the pain.
On second thought
Being a tree wouldn't be
Very much different than
Just being me!
